ONEBO AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Millions of ink and toner cartridges are simply thrown away every year, ending up in landfill sites across the world. The plastics and metals they contain can take thousands of years to decompose. Using Recycled ink helps prevent this. Re-using material which would normally be thrown away has dramatic effects. It not only protects our environment, but also slows man’s consumption of the earth’s already depleted resources.

More ink. Less waste

Our recycling process ensures that each cartridge we are able to recycle is then filled to the maximum capacity with high quality ink. In many cases we are able to offer extra ink in our recycled cartridges compared to the original. This benefits the consumer and the environment, as the cartridge is not only recycled but contains extra ink, therefore printing for longer.

Recycling inkjet cartridges

Jet Tec’s remanufactured cartridges are produced using cartridges collected through our recycling schemes. The cartridges go through our strict inspection process to verify that they are suitable for remanufacturing. The cartridges are then cleaned with our specially formulated cleaning solution to remove all the residual ink. Once this is complete, the cartridges are refilled, print tested, packaged and sent to Onebo.

Through our partnership with TRF we are able to re-use many cartridges which may otherwise being landfilled, be sure to check our range of Canon, Hewlett Packard, Dell and Lexmark remanufactured cartridges.

Recyclable packaging

Onebo are fully committed to reducing landfill with an overall objective of 0%.

The Jet Tec blister packaging is produced from up to 80% recycled plastic. We have reduced our packaging further by printing information directly onto the compatible cartridges, eliminating the need for a paper label.

The packaging depths are in line with the size of individual cartridges ensuring the minimum amount of packaging is used Learn more…

Sustainable remanufacturing is only possible through efficient recycling schemes. Jet Tec’s sister company, The Recycling Factory, works alongside Jet Tec to manage our recycling schemes providing collection materials, POS, support and real time reports

What is the difference between a compatible and a remanufactured cartridge?

A compatible cartridge is manufactured 100% from new materials in our factory. The outer casing is moulded and the inside components are added. Chips are added where necessary and then filled with ink.

A remanufactured cartridge is collected through our recycling scheme. Only the best quality cartridges are remanufactured. They are firstly cleaned thoroughly with our own developed cleaning solution to remove any dried ink. They are then refilled and each cartridge is tested before leaving the factory.

Why should I buy Jet Tec inks over original manufacturer inks?

There are a number of reasons; the main reasons are Quality, Reliability, ExtraLife and Price!

I’ve heard that compatibles or remanufactured inks may block my ink jets?

This may be the case with some of our competitors. This is mainly down to the fact that air gets inside the ink cartridge at the manufacturing stage. At Jet Tec we undertake a unique process to avoid this, resulting in a very a low return rate, less than 0.3%.

Can compatible consumables damage my printer?

No. Our cartridges are designed to fit your printer. Unless a cartridge is forced or installed wrongly you should have no problems with any of our cartridges.

Will Jet Tec compatible products invalidate my printer guarantee?

Your manufacturer’s guarantee may be void, please check the documentation that came with it. However, we are so confident about our product that we offer a full 100% 2 year guarantee on our products and your printer is covered if it is damaged by our inkjets.

Will the colours be as bright as the original manufacturer inks?

The simple answer is YES! We have 25 years’ experience and have perfected our inks to give rich, vibrant, long lasting prints. (However, the setting you use for your printer and the correct paper will make a huge difference to your print.)

Does a Jet Tec product last as long as an Original product?

A Jet Tec cartridge will print at least the same amount, and in some cases more than the original branded product. We have the ExtraLife range of cartridges for Canon and Epson printers. Jet Tec ExtraLife cartridges print up to one third more pages at 100% coverage when compared to original cartridges. This benefits the consumer and the environment, as the cartridge not only contains extra ink but is also made from recycled materials, therefore printing for longer and reducing waste.

Our Laser Toner cartridges are filled with the same amount of toner so you will not experience any loss of pages.

What is Extra Life?

Our ExtraLife technology has been developed to offer up to 100% more printed pages than the OEM equivalent, offering excellent value for money. Click here for more information.

I have already tried a compatible product before and was not happy with the result!

You have not tried a Jet Tec product! Some compatible manufacturer’s products may not have the desired result. But we have spent 25 years perfecting our inks and toners and you will find it hard to spot the difference of a printed sample between a Jet Tec product and an OEM.

What happens if I have a problem with your product?

The first place to visit is our support website, www.inksupport.info.

If you cannot find the solution for you, we recommend that you call us for some technical advice. If we are unable to correct the problem, we will then direct you to the store where you purchased the product for an exchange.

Where are your inks and toners made?

All of our inks and toners are made and manufactured in our UK factory in Lincolnshire. Employing over 300 people in the UK, this results in wages going back in the UK economy.

What are you doing to help the environment?

At Jet Tec we collect over 500,000 empty ink cartridges, laser toners and mobile phones through our sister company The Recycling Factory each month. All our packaging is environmentally friendly using recycled plastic and recyclable card. This results in much less waste going to landfill.

We have improved our premises efficiency at the same time as investing £1 million in re-roofing over 10,000 m2 of our factory with light energy saving roofs.

Have Jet Tec won any awards or recognition for their products?

Yes, we have won many and continue to do so. You can view all our awards here
